If this isn’t art, I don’t know what is! Anca Tiplea
DHS updated their official website. You can now send initial DACA applications.
Starting Monday, USCIS will receive initial applications after a federal judge restored DACA.
USCIS will add more questions to the civic test for applicants after December 2020.
Good news before Friday the 13th!
As I promised to keep you posted on the public charge rule - I-944 is back on. "On November 3, 2020, the Seventh Circuit issued an administrative stay of the N.D. of Illinois decision to vacate the DHS Public Charge Final rule pending an appeal which is effective immediately. Accordingly, adjustment of status applications must be filed with the Form I-944." https://www.aila.org//dhs-public-charge-rule-vacated-natio
Important announcement for the H-1B visas: changes will restrict the list of occupations and shorten the duration of the status.
It was a pleasure to talk to Andreia and Ionut. It didn’t feel like an interview but here it is: PS Thank you, guys! Enjoy your stay and come back soon!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vqyl2uBo1UA When clients are famous bloggers and mention your name, you can be sure your phone will ring off the hook:-) Thank you both and see you in California!
And they wonder why they ran out of funds. USCIS letting me know they transferred a U visa case - ONE CASE- of a family of three members. 18 notices in 18 separate envelops.
Green cards in the mail, without an interview. I can get used to this!
Client filed pro se (with help from a friend) and case was denied. Against all odds, we filed an appeal and it got granted in less than 20 days. When the wrong help hurts, a little bit of extra work, inspiration and luck can fix things. Be extra cautious these days!
IMPORTANT CHANGE For holders and applicants of student visas (F-1 nonimmigrant students pursue academic coursework and M-1 nonimmigrant students pursue vocational coursework while studying in the United States.):...Continue reading
This is how we have been working for the last three months: no instructions, no structure, no transparency. And now, fear of having to return to court knowing there is no way you can keep the distance and avoid being exposed in an immigration court.
The new norm: drive-thru Naturalization ceremony! My client became a Us citizen today in less then 3 minutes, without getting out of his car. Whatever works!
When USCIS tells people to seek a benefit that they do not qualify for and people, in good faith, follow their advice because they are the government, they must know! Hey, USCIS, stop giving false hope and wrong legal advice, wasting people’s money, time and chances. Stick to your job. Or are you just after their money?
Today is a great day! A green card for a good kid and a VAWA application approved for a brave and strong woman!
Great decision from SCOTUS to support DACA! The Dreamers can stay! This is not the end of the fight for them until a definitive solution will address the issue but so far, they are here to stay!
As if USCIS was not moving slowly enough, now they will work even slower. DHS will send furlough notices to 15000 employees.
