The Norris School District will continue to provide meal service during the upcoming Spring Break holiday. Meals will be provided Monday through Thursday (April 6-9). There will be no meal service on Good Friday, April 10, and Monday, April 13. Normal meal service will resume on Tuesday, April 14. All meals are served at Norris Middle School from 10 - 12. Dear Parents & Guardians, We have created a Norris School District Facebook page in an effort to provide multiple ways to communicate with you. You may also go to our website at https://www.norris.k12.ca.us/. You will find the latest information about distance learning and the Coronavirus. Here are the latest updates:... In regards to instruction, teachers will be reaching out to students this week to check-in and provide additional distance learning opportunities. Lunches are being offered to Norris families from 10:00 - 12:00, Monday - Friday, at Norris Middle School. It is a drive-through, grab-and-go style. Please do not exit your car. Servers will bring the bag lunches to you. Children from ages 2 - 18 are eligible and must be present in the car to receive a lunch. A big thank you to our cafeteria staff and volunteers who are preparing and serving the lunches! All school site offices are closed due to the shelter-in-place order and staff members are working remotely. The Norris District Office is closed to the public, but working with a skeleton staff from 8:00 - 12:00 and available by phone. Please call during this time or leave a message and someone will get back to you. Please respond to the student supervision survey that is posted on our website, under the COVID19 link. The survey will assess how families are providing supervision for their children during this time. All state testing (CAASPP), EL testing (ELPAC) and physical fitness testing has been suspended for this school year. Please check your school site’s Facebook page as many principals are providing morning announcements to help provide a sense of normalcy for our students. The District Office will be closed April 6th - April 13th for Spring Break. We will update you as soon as more information is available. As of now, we do not know if the return date of April 14th will be extended. Please know that we miss you and hope that you are staying safe and healthy.
