Dear NCSL Families, We hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving break and are excited about the rest of the holiday season. This time of the year is a good opportunity to reflect on the past year and make plans for the following year. We know you enjoyed the 2017 swim season and your family is looking forward to another great year. Why not help making this coming swim season even more amazing and get involved with the Northern California Swim League?... We have extended our deadline to send us your letter of interest to support our NCSL board to December 4th. We want to talk to you and see where your skills and expertise fit best within our organization. We expect from you to bring passion for the swim sport and the desire to provide a great community for our families; we will teach you the rest of what it takes to be a successful board member. Dear NCSL Families, The year 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of the Northern California Swim League. During this time we have grown from 11 teams with 1700 swimmers to 26 teams with around 5000 swimmers. To accommodate dual meets and maintain a competitive nature within the league, we arranged into five different conferences now, which are realigned on a regular basis to ensure the most competitive meets possible. This is a message from Brenda Smart, Headcoach of the Elk Grove Piranhas: Hello Swimmers and Families, One of our 15-18 yr old swimmers, Ashley Vanderpan, was recently diagnosed with an auto immune disease affecting her lungs. She currently is in the hospital receiving life saving measures, one of which includes being on a blood filtering machine filtering out the bad antibodies in her blood with donated blood. We are in communication with her parents, and as we are respect...ing their privacy, they have reached out and said to please encourage everyone that is able to, to donate blood, plasma and platelets. Ashley in the past week has received seven treatments with more to come. If you are able to donate, please do so at any Blood Source and let them know you are donating for Ashley Vanderpan. We are all hoping and praying for a Christmas miracle and that she continues make positive improvements. At this time this is all the parents are asking for as far as help. We are asking everyone to please respect the families privacy and not contact them directly. As we get updates we will post them here.
