Preschoolers are learning that they don’t have to be afraid in the storms of life because God’s got it! Elementary kids are learning about how living with integrity is how God has called us to live...and Jesus is the perfect model for integrity! As a new school year begins, have your family develop their own plan for what the school year will look like for your family. Determine some ways your family can be intentional about having fun. Brainstorm some ideaslet everybody share! Come up with 5 fun things to do together. Try to be realistic, which means a month in Tahiti or a new swimming pool might not make the list. #schooltime #kidzone

If you want a kid to know they matter, then it matters what words you use when you talk to them and about them. So use words that set them up to feel significant, valued, and unique.

When you go into your preschool child's room, say, "Good morning! I see someone God loves, and (his, her) name is.... (say your child's name as you pick them up or tickle their tummy). At dinner tonight, ask your elementary kid: Who is your best friend, and why do you think you’re such good friends?

Celebrate Grandparents Day (Sunday September 13) with your preschool and early elementary kids. Interview your younger kids and have them answer questions about their grandparents. Write down or video their answers.
