In light of the state-wide mandate to shelter in place and in solidarity with my colleagues practicing emergency medicine, I am giving notice that I have suspended my in-person acupuncture sessions until the shelter in place mandate is lifted. It is profoundly important that we suspend meeting in person at this time, and it is vital to my integrity that I do not become an inadvertent transmitter of infection. We are learning more about COVID-19 every day, and we do know t...hat it’s possible to transmit the infection to others for two weeks before we begin to show any symptoms. For that reason, I recommend you maintain six feet of distance with any person who doesn’t live in your home. Again, this is chiefly to protect the infrastructure of our emergency medicine system so that they can continue to address both the real emergencies they see every day and the real emergencies brought on by this pandemic. I’m so excited to offer some powerfully effective alternatives to in-person care. There are many proven techniques I am trained in that I don’t share often in my acupuncture practice, though I’ve used them to great effect for years in my online programs and health coaching platforms. You’ll find that these modalities are a great resource for you, and often a great way for you to also support your loved ones. It’s actually a great thing that we get to broaden your toolkit and resources for care in this time of community challenge so that we can get through this together!
