This shelf was custom built for a client in Virginia. She requested something unique and I think the stunning figure in this black walnut more than qualifies. The grain is so unbelievable a video was the only way to truly showcase the depth of its color and intrinsic beauty.
I just love the figure in this Sapele. Hard to tell the top is two pieces. Dimensions of 36L x 12D x 8H
Just finished this three drawer floating shelf for a client in Alaska. The piece is made from some of the most beautiful Birdseye Maple I have ever come across and is truly a sight to behold in person. Overall Dimensions of 34L x 6D x 4.5H
Just shipped off this sculpted box to a client in Texas. One of the nicest and most valuable boxes I have ever crafted this piece is made from solid Zebrawood and Wenge both of which came from Africa. All the colors seen are the natural colors of the wood and the exterior was sculpted freehand.
Just finished a new furniture piece featuring mortise and tenon joinery. This shoe rack provides an elegant storage solution for crowded entryways. The piece is made of solid Black Walnut and Cherry wood, which was hand selected for the beauty of its grain and stability of its structure. Dimensions: 29L x 15H x 12.5W... As with all my pieces, no stains or dyes were used and all colors seen are the natural colors of the woods, which will continue to deepen and erich over the years.
Finishing up a custom Peruvian Walnut shelf with over 50 abablone shells inlayed into the face. More photos to come soon.
These two boxes were a commission for a client. Both boxes are made from the same slab of walnut and feature very similar exterior astetics. One box features storage for 20 watches and the other is outfitted with a lift out valet tray and two levels of cufflink storage.
This hall table was purchased by a client on the east coast. It was shipped from my shop in Southern California, in a custom built crate, and arrived in pristine condition. The table was constructed by hand of solid hardwoods from around the globe. The table features solid Sepele panels whose grain seems almost holographic when viewed from different angels. The panels are encased by solid cherry panel caps and solid cherry legs. The table top is framed by a mitered Wenge frame which has been splined at all corners to ensure the strength and stability of the table far into the future. The entire piece features smooth elegant lines which provide for an intriguing and inviting piece.

I was honored to receive 2nd place in this year's 36th annual Design in Wood competition for my Sculpted Men’s Valet and Watch Box. The box, along with two other of my pieces shown in this post, will be showcased at the San Diego County Fair through July 4th. Please stop by if you have a chance and check out the exhibit.
I was recently commissioned to build a custom watch box for a client in Australia. He received his box this morning and sent me the below email, asking that I share it on my website. It is always nice to know a client is truly happy with his purchase. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I caught the watch collector's bug a couple of years ago and decided I needed to store my growing collection in a watch box of unique materia...ls and design. For almost 2 years I searched local jewellery shops and the internet. Everything on the market was either poor quality (rubbish really) or just ridiculously overpriced. About 10 weeks ago, I came across Nick's website and started a conversation with him on what I was looking for in a watch box. Nick's responses to my email queries were always prompt and courteous. He also showed a level of professionalism and confidence in his abilities I had not seen in others. My new watch box arrived yesterday. I am amazed with the high quality materials used and the attention to detail of the finished product. Nick clearly takes great pride in what he does. Thank you mate. I am always happy to recommend you to anyone looking for a special something to be custom built for them. Regards, Chris M Sydney Australia February 2017
