This week we 'treat'ed ourselves to some delicious Valentine's Day snacks. Did you know eating is COMPLEX? It is the only task that requires all of our sensory systems and coordination of fine oral motor functions. This Valentine's Day is a perfect opportunity to do some fun food exploration using objective language to describe taste (with our tongue) and texture with our teeth.... And we can integrate some fine motor development, by letting your kiddos use an appropriate knife to spread frosting and decorate their Valentin's heart or cupid. So many targets!
