Symmetry In Motion

Though the lack of traditional structure this holiday season challenges our sense of community togetherness and celebration, there is an opportunity to return to some of the "old fashioned" ways of connecting to one another --even if it is just a phone call. Creative "reverse parades" and spending time decorating outside for the enjoyment of strangers lends itself to happiness from within. Even the introverts might be feeling "pandemic fatigue" at 9 months, and quarantine has... put a lot of stress on us in ways we have never experienced. How much we just need to hug one another. There might be many ways to do just that. Imagine the wintertime in Michigan or Wisconsin or Montana. My dear friend and college roommate was raised and lives in Missoula where not only does it get glacier-cold but the days are shorter because they are farther north. She's a very active person who runs every morning (unless it is 10 degrees with windchill and then she might wait it out!) She and her friends don't let the weather stop them from getting outside. They're used to socializing outdoors, otherwise, they'd be stuck inside for much of the year. I wonder if many Californians have pushed the limits on their outdoor comfort to be with loved ones during the pandemic. I sure love watching our downtown park get more use than I've ever seen in our 20 years here. From multiple studies, the language of bees, and our own intuitive understanding, we know that who and what we surround ourselves with is what we become. I'm so happy and grateful to be with you. By continuing your commitment to health and well-being at Symmetry in Motion, your body and mind are better prepared for whatever comes your way. The human connection we share also makes us feel innately safer, which bolsters our immune systems and our mental health. We know that this energy can move beyond the individual and impact those around us. This is our invisible hug.
