Staff Spotlight Meet our Director of Tennis, Martha Deters! Martha has been with our club for over 6 years! As Tennis Director, she handles all tennis aspects of the club, from supervising tournaments and mixers to overseeing the court desk where reservations are made.... You can often spot Martha on-court as well, because she is a fairly talented player herself! We are very lucky to have Martha's longstanding leadership on our team!

We are thrilled to be re-opening our restaurant Courtside, starting Saturday May 15th! We will be going into a soft transition, with initial hours as following: Saturday and Sunday: 9am-6pm Monday through Friday: 11am-8pm... Hear from our GM and Executive Chef on what you can expect!

Pro Spotlight Get to know Bob Litrich! A United States Tennis Association - USTA (Official) Pro since 1970, Bob has a deep understanding of the game, which he's shared with players from beginner to advanced levels during his time at NBTC. In college, Bob was #1 at Long Beach State University! We are lucky to have Bob and his vast tennis knowledge on our team here at NBTC!

LEARN TO HIT ALL SERVES FROM 12 O’CLOCK Pete Sampras one of the great servers of all time learned early on to master all three serves from the same location. The advantage is disguise since the opponent will not be able to pick up on any tendencies. Additionally, hitting serves from 12 o’clock can result in more power. If the toss is located further away from the core (to either side 10 or 2 o’clock are extreme cases) the contact occurs outside the body core. It’s similar to doing pull ups. A narrow grip is easier than a wide grip. Repost @intuitivetennis #tennistips
