Do you have a graduate that would like to learn something new? Consider the gift of learning how to sail. What they will learn in safety and seamanship will last them a lifetime.
Coming visit us at the Newport Boat Show which starts tomorrow, Thursday, April 25-Sunday, April 28. We can answer all of your questions about sailing lessons. We will be on our 2019 Beneteau 38.1. It is a great boat to do the ASA 103 and 104 on. There are a few SailTime Memberships still available if you are interested.
We got a new cat in the fleet. It is the Lagoon 450 flybridge. Great boat for the ASA 114.
Captain Rick took ASA 104, Bareboat Cruising students Michelle and Kim to Catalina this weekend. They sailed to Two Harbors and got a little exercise hiking to the top of the mountain. Catalina is open.

San Diego closed their harbor to recreational boating. This petition is being circulated in an effort to provide a voice to encourage County officials to keep Newport Harbor open and accessible! Newport Harbor provides residents much needed respite during these uncertain times. We can responsibly enjoy our waterways while providing the recommended safe social distancing. Social distancing is important to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Keeping our bodies in optimum... health to fight the virus is equally important. With fewer options to get outside and exercise, increased anxiety and deteriorating physical fitness are real concerns for the overall well being of our community. More closures and forced stay at home isolation with no reasonable outlet will only continue to compound the stress already being thrust upon families. Kids need to be outdoors with their siblings and parents. It is not healthy for children to stare at their phone, iPad and computer screens all day. Stress reducing activities, like stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and boating are needed. Our spring will quickly be turning to summer and the harbor and ocean may be the ONLY outlet for many families to escape the confines of isolation. Together we can ALL do our part, flatten the curve and practice safe social distancing, while leaving Newport Harbor open and accessible. https://www.change.org/KeepNewportHarborOpen
Help keep our harbor open so we can social distance with our family on the water. It is not healthy for kids to be stuck inside on their phones all day. http://chng.it/bCK9htR8
