New Life Pismo

Last week our staff and their families were treated to a fun night of dinner and bowling (and maybe even a little dancing ) It was such a great time to connect with each other and let loose a little after a tough year. Thank you SO MUCH to Rancho Bowl for opening up just for us and for all of your hospitality and generosity! And also shout out to the amazing ladies of our women’s ministry who organized everything and made us all feel so loved and appreciated. We love our team!

Every movement has a beginning point. However, the further you get from the onset, the more movements begin to fade. Join us as we rediscover the spark that ignites our faith in Jesus and the fuel that sustains the the movement of His Kingdom.

What a testimony to God’s love and faithfulness. We love you two...thank you for your devoted service to New Life, the Central Coast, and especially Jesus. You are both such treasures! It's time for another First Friday Country Gospel night!

Last night was graduation day for New Life Preschool. We are so proud of director Courtney Crosson and all our preschool team for the phenomenal job they do! Not only planning a beautiful ceremony, but for all the hard work they put into loving our preschool students and families all year long. This year was full of challenges but they met each one with grace and determination to provide an as normal as possible preschool experience for these precious kids! Three cheers for all our graduates! We look forward to seeing all the ways you continue to grow in Christ. Hip hip hooray!

Oh the joy of new life! Today we had the privilege of baptizing 3 precious followers of Jesus: Jennifer, Kim, and Vasily. Would you join us in praying for each of them today? Also, we encourage you to take a few moments to reflect on your own baptism. In those moments when the enemy tries to plant seeds of doubt and tries define who you are, you can point back to that moment and say, No! What is true of His Son, is now true in me! It's First Friday time!!

As we approach the sunset on 2020, it’s easy to look back on this past year with disdain and wish for a do-over. No one would blame you for that sentiment. There’s no doubt that 2020 has impacted us all in some way. However, what if we looked back on this past year and instead of wishing it all away, we looked at it as a holy year of divine preparation? A year that drew us into the presence of God through trials...teaching us more about God’s character than we could have lear...ned without the challenges of 2020. In 2020 we learned the true value of community. We learned how to love our neighbors as ourselves through small practical acts as well as acts that came with personal sacrifice. We learned that nothing is going to stop the Kingdom of God from invading this broken earth...that there are no bounds to His presence...and that even parking lots can be sacred spaces. So, together, let’s look toward 2021 with a divine imagination for the possibilities it holds. We know it won’t be smooth sailing, that all the problems of 2020 won’t disappear the moment the clock strikes midnight. However, we are better equipped to face the unknown this year. We’ve been forged in fire and drawn into a deeper relationship with the One who holds the future. We’ve learned to rely on God and on each other in new and greater ways. We are ready to see God move in 2021! See more
