Great News! New Gen will remain open through June 2017! We are delighted to tell you that the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and the Department of Public Health have committed to continue supporting New Gen for another year, which means we will be open to provide you with reproductive health care through June 2017. Since announcing our closure in March, we have seen an outpouring of community support for our clinic. Thank you for making your voices heard. As a... result, the university, in consultation with the Health Department, has identified funds from a variety of programs that will keep us open long enough to develop a solid transition plan and explore the possibility for continued operations. UCSF and the Health Department will form working groups that include community members to determine next steps for our clinic’s services and to identify available resources throughout the San Francisco health system and philanthropic community. It is truly our honor to work with the community of San Francisco. We are grateful for the opportunity to develop a solid transition plan and hopeful that we can find a long-term solution to continue offering you care. We will be open at least through June 2017. If you have any questions or want to schedule an appointment, please do not hesitate to call us at 415.502.8336.

Important News about Our Clinic The New Generation Health Clinic will be closing this summer because of financial, ADA and seismic issues. There has been a substantial outpouring of support for our clinic thank you for your care, concern and commitment to making sure reproductive health is available for every member of our community. We share that commitment and are here to provide the resources needed for our patients to obtain quality reproductive health care.... We would like to announce a community forum to discuss the next steps for New Generation Health Center at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital campus in Carr Auditorium on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 3pm to 5pm. We want you to know that we are here for all of our patients during this transition. We have many contacts at clinics throughout the city and are happy to help find the one that’s best for each of our patients, as well as helping them set up initial appointments. Patients can get their medical records in person on or before July 22 to share with their new providers. UCSF also will keep a copy of these records for seven years. Patients or their providers can request records by writing to: Department of OB/GYN, 1001 Potrero Ave., Ward 6, Room 4, San Francisco, CA 94110 attn: Billing Office. It has been an honor to work with the youth of San Francisco for 20 years and we’re sad to close the clinic, but we’re also very fortunate to live in a city where so many clinics are available to provide these services. We will be open for appointments through July 22, 2016. For any questions or to schedule an appointment before we close, please call us at 415.502.TEEN.
