We are excited that sports are making progress! Here are a few pictures of wrestlers supporting cross country runners at their meet last week.

There’s a rally in town this Friday to support the effort to encourage the States governing officials to let the kids play sports. This is not a political gathering so please leave all political signage at home. Appropriate Signs encouraging sports are welcome!

LET THEM PLAY CA RALLY - NEVADA COUNTY!!! We are banding together with youth sports organizations from our area to support the statewide Let Them Play CA effort...s. There will now be a local rally THIS FRIDAY from 4-5pm in the Brunswick basin. It is rain, snow or shine. All attending will be required to wear face masks & practice social distancing. Break out your Jerseys, Uniform shirts, and Fan-wear and come join in the fun! Be sure to make signs saying "LET US PLAY"! Please remember this is for the kids return to play only!! *** ABSOLUTELY NO POLITICAL SIGNS *** ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED AND SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT! Bring your family, positive attitudes, and umbrellas or snow boots!!

Hello NU Wrestling Families: We are planning a pre-season meeting for wrestlers and coaches only, this Wednesday the 20th at 4:45 PM in front of the wrestling gym. The purpose of this meeting is to share information, answer any questions athletes may have and to responsibly say hello to one another. It has been far too long, the coaches and athletes are missing our team! Wrestlers that finished last season or have registered this year through FamilyID have been sent an email ...to their student email accounts. Please urge them to reply ASAP, so that I can get a head count. I will be having a Zoom Parent Meeting on Wednesday, January 27th @ 6:30 PM to discuss our upcoming pre-season scheduled to start on February 1st. I will send the Zoom link in a future email with a meeting outline. Prior to our February 1st pre-season kickoff all athletes will need to be registered and approved for wrestling in FamilyID to attend and participate in practices. **+** This coming Wednesday we will be having a pre-season get together practice/meeting (possibly several depending on numbers). Workout gear is not required for this. We are still very limited on what we are able to do and this will be a season very different from past seasons. This is the first step for us. This get together will be wrestlers and coaches only, and it is voluntary. There will be a parent meeting soon on another date. Look for more details from Coach Woodward before the weekend is over!
