Jessica Guo, 2021 Cadet Women's Foil World Champion! Congratulations to Jessica Guo, her coaches, Team Canada coaches Paul ApSimon and GGFC's Michael Pederson, and all of Team Canada!

GGFC joins the rest of the fencing community in remembering the passion, dedication, and kindness of Coach Aly Khamis. Aly Khamis, a coach, father, and friend to many of us, died of complications of Covid19 this week. We mourn his death, a harsh reminder that the covid-19 pandemic is not over. Please stay committed to actively protecting yourself, your family, and your communities. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. Practice social distancing. Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated spaces. Get a vaccine when it's available to you. Aly Khamis, may your soul rest in peace. We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
