Nevada City SHOE Repair

So with the black ice on the roads a couple of weeks ago, our red Ford Ranger truck slid & was damaged beyond repair. We are thankful that Frank wasn’t injured but sad that we don’t have the use of our only four wheel truck when it snows. So if it snows, please call us at (530)265-3911 so we can let you know when we can meet with you to help you with you shoe & leather repairs since our normal mobile shoe repair truck isn’t four wheel drive & the weather conditions will dictate as to whether or not we can be in town during the snowy days.

Snowing out this week in Nevada County!! Just an update to let everyone know that whether it rains, shines, or snows Frank intends to be available in our mobile truck unit during our normal hours from 10-3 Tuesday’s through Thursday’s out on the street in front of 117 Argall Way Nevada City. When the snow looks like it might stick & accumulate, look for his four wheel drive red Ford Truck out in front with our normal Nevada City Shoe Repair signage on the truck. I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather we are having lately! Just a note to thank all of you who have been our customers all these years & we are thankful for the new people who have inquired about our services. I wanted to let you know that the best way to contact us is by calling us directly at either (530) 265-3911 or (530) 913-3911 as that way we can connect right away. We try to check messages on Facebook but not necessarily every day & we wouldn’t want to keep you waiting with your shoe & leather repair needs. On another note we are celebrating Thanksgiving with family & will be back on December 8th.

Adapting & helping others

So with our business Nevada City Shoe & Leather Repair now working out of our mobile truck unit on the street in front of our old location 117 Argall Way Nevada City on Tuesdays through Thursdays 10-3, we have had to be flexible and innovative in serving our community. With the upcoming colder and hopefully rainy season, we are looking at ways we can have a water-proof overhang for our truck so customers can stand under it to get out of the rain or snow while we are helping ...them on the street. We are hopeful that the new canvas we purchased with work out as we make an awning to attach to the back of our truck and shell. We're excited about getting the awning made and see how it will work. We love helping our community and have been in business now going on 35 years and look forward to many more years of serving our community. As a side-line, I (Suze) have enjoyed helping out our neighboring merchants in Grass Valley by watering their plants and trees in the street planters during these past few months! I love plants and this was such an easy way to help out our community by watering the plants during these very hot days as the merchants are all just trying to stay in business and I know that anything we can do to help them is a plus for them and also for us, the community. We also have been going to Lucchessi tasting room on Fridays to enjoy a bottle of wine and music. We also have been to Lazy Dog weekly to get ice cream as a way to help these wonderful local merchants of ours.
