Great news. San Mateo County has moved into the red tier: the move allows changes for numerous types of businesses: restaurants can resume indoor dining with modifications; gyms can open indoors with modifications; and retail and shopping centers can increase capacity.

On Tuesday, the Town Council will have an important study session on whether the Town's planning commission should continue in its current form. The planning commission is responsible for recommending ordinances and resolutions necessary to implement the Town's development policy. There are two main questions presented for discussion next week. (1) Does the Town Council believe that Planning Commission representation by district is important to the governance of the Town [i....e. should commissioners continue to represent specific town districts]? (2) Is seven members the correct number of Planning Commissioners for the Town of Woodside? More information about this topic and the rest of the agenda can be found here: https://www.woodsidetown.org/counc/town-council-meeting-186

ATTENTION: This week's San Mateo Event Center vaccine clinics are for health care workers only. Vaccinations for persons over 65 have not yet begun. Check with... your health care provider to know when it is your turn to receive the vaccine. Most residents will receive the vaccine from their primary care provider, not County public health. Pharmacies will also carry the vaccine once it is more widely available. For updates, visit http://smchealth.org/covidvaccine.

SMC residents aged 65 or older, there are two drive-through clinic locations to receive the COVID-19 vaccine this week: Thursday (2/18) at the Event Center and Friday (2/19) at SFO. The vaccine is free and available to any San Mateo County resident aged 65 or older regardless of health care provider or insurance coverage.

If you are recovering from #czulightningcomplex wildfires and receiving rental assistance for temporary housing through FEMA’s Individuals and Households Progra...m, let FEMA know if you have a continuing need. Rental assistance is for paying rent, including a security deposit, at a place other than your damaged home. To continue to receive it, you must prove an ongoing need, which may be that suitable housing is not available, or that your permanent housing plan has not been completed through no fault of your own. Documents can be uploaded once you create an account at DisasterAssistance.gov or via the FEMA app. Additional details

Don't give the unwanted gift of COVID-19 to family and friends this holiday season. While it may be tempting to get together and celebrate as we have in the past, try something different this year while following COVID-19 guidelines to prevent the spread. #Holidays2020 #HolidaysatHome
