Installation Fire and Emergency Service teams around the world rush towards danger on a daily basis, sacrificing their own safety to meet this mission of protecting their Navy family and local communities from harm. BOATING UPDATE - In preparation for the change in location of the civilian small boat channel through Anaheim Bay, the permanent channel navigation markers have been replaced with temporary buoys. The new civilian boat channel is scheduled to be completed in early 2021.

The airspace over Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach is a No Drone Zone! Just as importantly, the base and surrounding area are within five miles of the JFTB Los Alamitos airfield and Long Beach Airport, so even off the base there are significant safety restrictions over drone flights. Today is the Great ShakeOut where millions of people worldwide practice how to protect themselves during earthquakes. Today we held a virtual Navy Birthday cake cutting ceremony outside the base command building.

SECURITY DRILLS TODAY - Base personnel will be conducting a security training event aboard Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach today starting at 2:30pm and going until approximately 4:30pm. Local residents may notice additional law enforcement activity around the base, gate closures, and/or drone flights. The base Giant Voice mass notification loudspeaker system may also be used.
