Vet Girls RISE founded National #VetGirlsRiseDay on February 19, 2019, to bring awareness to the contributions of women veterans to the United States military. This holiday also provides an opportunity for women veterans to celebrate the bonds they formed during their service. We’re thankful to work with so many wonderful female veterans every day, and today we celebrate them.

Today we celebrate Enrollment Advisor Sara M. for all of her hard work and passionate outlook on her career. Her favorite way to connect with students? Over the phone! They can hear in my voice how passionate and devoted I am to helping them! Email is great, but I think talking to students over the phone is the best way to support them because you can really hear how excited they are and you can address any questions they have right then and there. Thanks for being part of the team, Sara!

Serving my country has given me the chance to explore the world and have experiences that most Americans will never understand. I give back to the community by volunteering because I am so privileged to have made it to where I am in life. It is very important to me to mentor my fellow servicemembers to do the same thing. I always recommend National University because it is such a military friendly school. The staff and professors understand the unique challenges of being a servicemember. - Crystal G., Class of 2020, Military Servicemember We are so thankful so many veterans and active duty servicemembers have found #HomeAtNU! Thanks for serving our country and being a part of the #NUfam.

My parents were my primary motivation to go back to school. My parents sacrificed everything for my siblings and I. Truthfully; I believe that every generation should be an improved version of the previous generation. Their immense sacrifice always spurs me to do more and bring honor to our family name. - Francisco R., Class of 2016 What motivated YOU to go back to school?
