Making some longboard fins this week. All the fins are 9" high with a base of 8" t0 10" depending on the fin. Its cheaper to make them yourself if you have the proper equipment. My next step is to put 2 layers of 8.5 ounce Volan Fiberglass on each side. Enjoy the photos and let me know if you need one. $90 is the cost if you want it glassed and $70 without the Volan Fiberglass.
Moss Noble one of my young shaper students at Todos Santos in Mexico. The board Moss is riding was beat to hell and taken out of the trash. Moss and I stripped off the fiberglass and used a ton of resin and Q-Cell to fill the dings and delamination. The board came out just fine but to hide all the repairs we added a purple and white pigment to the glass job. The board works great! Anything is possible with old boards with just a little of imagination and tons of patience.
Surfboard Racks made from Mahogany. Fairly easy to make with a few power tools. Skill saw, jig saw, drill and router is optional.
