So excited that Amanda Moran will be teaching on Sunday mornings at 9 am for Giselle Mari (both in person and on zoom). For those of you who have not had the pleasure of attending Amanda's class, here's her bio: Amanda is an Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher. She taught at at the Jivamukti school in New York City, at the Yoga Tree, Bernal Yoga and Yoga Works in San Francisco. At the time she found yoga, she suffered from chronic recurrent bronchitis worsened by her s...tressed out job managing theatrical productions. Through Yoga practice and a vegan diet she's now blissfully bronchitis free. Her classes include challenging vinyasa sequences grounded in spiritual teachings, Sanskrit chanting, meditation, hands-on alignment assists and relaxation with variations for more advanced students, and accommodation for newcomers. Amanda has lectured on Yoga philosophy at teacher trainings around the Bay and was honored to mentor at the Jivamukti teacher training in 2018. She continues the tradition passed on to her by her teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life & Ruth Lauer Manenti, which emphasizes that Yoga practice leads to liberation. Amanda lives in San Francisco with her two children and chef/yogi husband Jeremy. When not teaching yoga she works for Amazon Watch, defending Indigenous rights in the Amazon Basin. Given the name Ananda by her teacher Sharon, Amanda is trying that idea on for size ananda means total bliss. See more
