New Adventures Team Work Makes the Dream Work What an amazing way to start my day with such great energy and positive vibes for the last 10 years and still going stronger than ever. Thanks to all my wonderful clients who have supported and encouraged me to heal faster after my hip replacement surgery recently.... I want all my die-hards to know that I am continuing to teach Athletics 45 (on Monday Wednesday Friday at 6 am 8 15 am, and in a very near future 7:00 am ) . These adjustments will give me time to focus more on YOU who are most important to me and continue to strive to reach your health and fitness goals. We started this journey together and I want to assure you that we will continue! To continue on this healing process, I have decided to give Artistic Athletics to Sean Anthony Moran and Pavão Jessica Carla who are not only great Capoeiristas but also have become my family. ***ARTISTIC ATHLETICS is UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT!!*** Sean Anthony Moran and Pavão Jessica Carla have been part of the Artistic Athletics and before that the XTC Family for 15 years! Both are Capoeira teachers and fitness trainers with 20 years of experience and as of March 1 have taken over programming & ownership of Artistic Athletics! Thanks to Kobi Julian, AA’s former owner, for her trust and dedication over the years, she will remain a part of the AA teaching family! Artistic Athletics will continue to host many of the same martial arts, movement and fitness programs: CAPOEIRA, KAJUKENBO, A45 Fitness and many more will be added!! Cardio is an important part of staying fit and healthy, but most people opt for traditional forms of cardio like jogging, biking, elliptical machines, etc. These become boring after a while and take up lots of time. That's why I place more value in HIIT as a cardio replacement. For instance, doing these slam ball power cleans for 45 sec sets for 5-10 sets with little rest in-between each set are a great example of diversifying your cardio. Doing HIIT exercises burn more calor...ies in less time than regular forms of cardio and hit more muscles than just traditional forms of cardio which usually only target the legs. You can also throw out adding lean muscle to your body when it comes to these traditional cardiovascular activities as well. These slam ball power cleans target the whole body, burn more calories, and can add lean, athletic muscle to your physique. When you have options like this, it's no wonder why HIIT exercises are becoming popular. I'll be posting examples of great HIIT exercises in the days and weeks to come and tutorials on how to properly do them. See more
