Meet Bianca, one of our all-time heroes and inspirations! @biancavalenti, is a professional big-wave surfer, environmentalist and activist who is leading movements for pay equity and growth opportunity for women in sports. In 2014 after winning the first big wave surf competition for women at Nelscott Reef in Oregon Bianca decided that she wanted to compete at Mavericks, but the organizers of the contest said no, saying women weren't ...allowed to compete. Since there is no reason women shouldn't be allowed Bianca and her friends formed the Committee for Equity in Women’s Surfing (CEWS) and talked to the State of California to explain the problem. Thanks to the hard work of the CEWS, any competition played on public lands, like surfing, must include women and equal pay!! We love working with pioneers like Bianca to create the perfect on-the-go granola to fuel any type of adventure.
