Great reference guide for those of you at a major river confluence into an ocean.

Thank you to the over 100 volunteers that removed 796 pounds of litter on Saturday during the Great Sierra River Cleanup! Top trash found included 1,011 cigaret...te butts, 934 food wrappers, and 778 small plastic pieces. Meeting locations included Regan Beach, Kiva Beach, Trout Creek, Blackwood Ave. meadow, and Zephyr Cove in South Shore and Chimney Beach in East Shore. Volunteers enjoyed a lunch celebration hosted by the League after the cleanup. Thank you to Clean Tahoe Programfor coordinating and co-hosting the sites, U.S. Forest Service - Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, Official City of South Lake Tahoe, Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa & Casino, Lake Tahoe Cruises|Zephyr Cove Resort, and Oskar Blues Brewery for partnering to make the event a success! Everyone can be the solution by choosing reusables, packing out what you pack in and picking up litter that you see.
