Social Services Saturday Presents Youth & Family Services Virtual Teen Night Out presents... Teens Building Community Partnerships Thursday, November 5, 2020 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The topic will be presented by Alex Parajon, member of the Glendale Educational Foundation, Vice President of the Glendale Parks & Open Space Foundation, and Rotary District Senior Assistant Governor with the Glendale Sunrise Rotary. Alex will discuss ways to build and nurture community partnerships with useful strategies teens can use to create long lasting programs in their schools. Teens will go into detail about how community partnerships develop and sustain meaningful interactive relationships with their varied communities (that is teen, parent, education, civic, and business groups), so that all members understand and contribute to the work of supporting programs in the community and schools. #parksmakelifebetter

Fantastic Friday Presents Club Maple Virtual Hangout Thanksgiving Dinner Thursday, November 19, 2020... Club Maple Therapeutic Recreation Program provides adults with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to enjoy social and interactive activities in an online social setting to talk among peers and with City staff about various topics affecting the intellectually disabled community. Community Services & Parks Department proudly continues its dedication to providing excellent quality of life programs to our residents while prioritizing the health and safety of its program participants and employees. The City of Glendale, Community Services & Parks Department will be giving away boxed dinners from Dinah’s Chicken to existing Club Maple participants only. Club Maple participants are encouraged to pick up a boxed dinner and then join the Club Maple Virtual Hangout. Participants must RSVP and reserve a dinner by November 16, 2020, 5:00 p.m. Quantities are limited to the first 80 participants who RSVP. Distribution will take place at Maple Park Community Center on November 19, 2020, between 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. Distribution of the boxed dinners will end by 5:15 p.m. Face coverings are required.
