Community is the heart and history of Murphys. Last evening was a fabulous kick off to Homecoming Weekend! A fun night of great music and food and happy birthdays. We are so grateful to everyone who came out to help us celebrate the 70th birthdays of the Murphys Old Timers Museum and Museum President, Ron Fillmore. Thank you EVERYONE for making this fundraiser for the Museum such a success!!!! Homecoming celebration in the Murphys Community Park today starting at 11am!!!!... Old Timers Luncheon at the Murphys Senior Center sponsored by Native Daughters of the Golden West Ruby Parlor No. 46 at noon. And at one, Duck Races in the Murphys Creek benefiting Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program. And tomorrow, a fundraiser extravaganza from noon-9m for the Murphys School Of Music . Music all day long.

Thank you to everyone who turned out for the Cattle in the Sierra documentary reception!! Standing room only! We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with this project and examine a topic of such local historical significance that also carries into life today.
