I've been toying with the idea of writing a UFO-themed cookbook. Since this is Memorial Weekend and barbecues are in order, even if only for your immediate fami...ly, here is my recipe for baked beans that I think everyone will enjoy as much as I and my son do. Jeff’s No Swamp Gas Baked Beans Ingredients 2 cups pinto beans Bone from half ham, or 2 Ham hocks, or 1 lb. diced ham 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. dry mustard cup Grandmas Molasses cup light brown sugar In a six-quart stockpot add 2 cups of beans, and six cups of hot water. Bring to a rolling boil, then time for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes remove from heat, cover the pot, and let sit for 1 hour. Rinse the beans with cold water. I like to fill the pot half full and stir it around, and then I use the lid to strain the water. I like to rinse 3 times to make sure to get all the sediment out. After you rinse the beans, add your meat, and then fill your pot to the 3-quart mark with water. Bring to a boil, and then reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 hours. Drain well. Add salt, garlic powder, mustard, molasses, and brown sugar. Stir well over low heat until completely mixed. Makes 4-6 servings. This will disappear so fast you’ll think aliens abducted it!

Footnote to history; the 78th anniversary of a fairly important historical event passed practically unnoticed yesterday, except perhaps by a few of us UFOlogist...s who understand the significance of the events that followed. Around 7:00 PM on February 23rd, 1942, a Japanese submarine, I-17 Captained by Commander Kozo Nishino, came to a stop opposite the Ellwood Oil Field near Santa Barbara, California. Fifteen minutes later the crew opened fire using the subs deck gun, aimed at the Richfield Oil storage tank onshore. In total the Japanese shells only destroyed a derrick and a pump house, while the Ellwood Pier and a catwalk only suffered minor damage. After 20 minutes the sub ceased firing and sailed away. Estimates are that it fired between 12-25 explosive shells. Although only causing light damage Nishino achieved his goal of spreading fear along the American west coast. This incident not only prompted the internment of Japanese Americans but also is responsible for the heightened alert level and blackout when two days later a strange unidentified craft was seen and engaged by anti-aircraft artillery over the Santa Monica mountains in Los Angeles in a well-documented event known as the Battle of Los Angeles. Did we really get the smoking gun truth about the incident? "...Now one of the ones that I wanted to talk to you about in particular was the Nimitz encounter, which I think I mentioned earlier a little bit about it. And actually that encounter went on from, I think it was November 10th to the 14th of 2013. And, uh, the main action happened on November 14th but for three days before that, they've been observing these objects traveling at high rates of speed from high altitude to dropping down all of a sudden to sea level or below sea level, just off the coast of Catalina. Now they were having planned exercises in that area and since that would have obviously interfered with anything going on with their exercises, they sent out an Explorer group to take a look and see what was going on. And again, when they approached and got towards the area where these craft were dropping from, they noticed that larger craft under the water. Now, let me pause for a moment here. I'm getting the pause button. I've dealt with so many instances of misdirection and lies and deception from military branches when it comes to the truth about UFO cases, that my suspicious hairs on the back of my neck, my hackles go up when they divulge information of any sort, willingly, right?..." "...I'm still not at the point where I can take truth from them and market his truth or the whole truth. Or is there a reason they're letting this version of the truth out? I'm highly suspicious. And in this case, I think one of the reasons is because the more interesting aspect of this encounter is not mentioned, whereas a white tic tac shaped object that you really only get to see a blur of an infrared video, uh, zipping around along some grainy ocean water. Um, you know, that's, that's compelling..." "...And we're following that story instead of any narrative about the larger object. What did it do after they approached? What happened during the exercises? Was that larger object involved?..." So what was that larger object no one is talking about?
