On Sunday 5/19 at 9:30 a.m., please bring your entire family to join us at Fremont City Community Service food packing event at Bridges Community Church (across from Hopkins). So very proud of our MSJE family for raising $3,036.50 and helping to pack and feed over 13,000 hungry kids around the world! At the school assembly, we asked each student to try to raise at least $5 by doing house chores to help pay for some of the food costs. One student brought $100 saved up from her allowance and said $5 was not enough and she wanted to help feed many more kids! Please help to get the word out. We have an ambitious goal to involve 35,000+ students in FUSD to help feed 1,000,000 hungry kids around the world this year. Will you consider joining our fight to help end world hunger? What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than having our little Mustangs share their love with other hungry kids around the world? Yesterday the weather was stormy and cold but our Mustangs had a clear mission with hearts on fire! The students set a goal to pack 10,000 meals with Kids Against Hunger but ended up packing 13,362 meals! We also had our Fremont City Mayor Lily Mei, City Council Member Dr. Yang Shao, our fearless leader Mr. Graves, our teachers and nearly 40 ...tireless volunteers roll up their sleeves to pack with us. Our older students packed the meals to feed the hungry kids, but it was our kindergarteners and 1st graders that filled the kids’ heart by decorating the food bags with stickers and loving messages. We are so proud of our Mustangs for making a difference to help over 13,000 kids around the world and look forward to packing again with Kids Against Hunger Fremont next year! See more
