In an effort to advocate for enhanced safety, reduced traffic, and pedestrian-friendly streets in Mission San Jose, the Mission San Jose Chamber of Commerce has submitted a letter of support for the City of Fremont's State Budget Request of $7.2 million for the 680/Mission Boulevard Interchange Modernization Project. We look forward to working with the city on a final design that maximizes safety and traffic efficiency in the months ahead in order to better serve the local business community. I presented a $300 grant to a very deserving small business in our business district of Mission San José, the Museum of Local History!

Old Mission San Jose would like to invite the community to witness the AUTUMNAL SOLAR ILLUMINATION on October 4th, a unique and captivating illumination of the... main altar near sunset. A perfectly aligned shaft of light will enter from the rear window of the Mission Church and transverse the full length of the church, showering the gilded tabernacle in dazzling light. This event will be live-streamed and preceded by an engaging lecture along with organ music by Music Director, Ron McKean! Dr. Ruben Mendoza of California State University Monterey Bay will speak on the Spanish mission’s centuries-old hidden secrets of astronomy and indigenous people’s belief in sun worship. Here is the latest update from our Mayor Lily Mei relating the Alameda County Public Health allowances for Covid-19 business compliance.

Our 3 members received $300 each in our efforts to support their recovery after misfortune. The Old Mission San Jose had graffiti on its front door. Mission Coffee had a rock throw at the front window. Ivy Boost Education had a car crash into their corner store. We are proud to be able to help!
