Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Mill Valley 16.12.2020

In honor of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, and because this was the last public Mass we'll be allowed to have inside for some weeks, Fr. Pat lit the Jesse Tree today. If you're in the area and can stop in for a visit, please do! While the tree won't be lit when no one is there, you will no doubt enjoy the ornaments and get a better sense of our progress toward Christmas!

Never been to Scripture Class? Then you have no idea how crazy it can get! Check out Fr. Pat's "costume" from last week, with his golden teeth courtesy of one of his favorite mosaics... If you'd like to join us tonight, or any night, email Fr. Pat and he will include you in the mailing list!

Our Communion Service is a longstanding tradition at OLMC. It is led by lay leaders on Tuesday. It is different from daily Mass but should be familiar to regular attendees of the liturgy. We begin with prayers and the Liturgy of the Word, including the daily readings and a scripture reflection offered by the lay service leader. This is followed by the Creed, the Prayers of the Faithful, the Our Father, the Sign of Peace and the Lamb of God. There will be a distribution and finally, a closing prayer. Unlike daily Mass, the appropriate response to "The Lord be with you" is "And also with you."
