Hello Mountainview families. Our nominating committee has been hard at work getting volunteers signed up for next years board. However, there are still a few positions that need to be filled. If you are willing and able to volunteer email [email protected] Please don’t feel intimidated as there are plenty of training opportunities available. Our PTA is happy to announce that our Recycled Art Earth Day celebration will be back with the addition of poetry and a virtual twist. This year's theme is "There is no place like home". All entries must be original work that relates to the theme and may be submitted in Word, PDF, or video format (for 3D art you may submit 3 pictures at different angles). Our teachers, administrators and staff at Mountainview are the best! They drove through our community to wave at our children and put a smile on our faces. This month, students are learning about the art work of Claud Monet through PTA's Great Artist Program. MV students get to paint their renditions of his painting "Boats at Argenteuil". This is all made possible by your generous donations and our parent volunteers.

This month, Mountainview students are learning about French artist Henri Matisse. Students will make their own renditions of Beasts of the Sea using paper collage. This is all made possible through your generous donations to MVPTA and the wonderful volunteers who donate their time and talents to teach the students in The Great Artist Program.

Today, Mountainview students were treated to an assembly about the art of flamenco dance. Even teachers got in on the fun. Thank you for supporting MVPTA and allowing us to bring these memorable and educational experiences to our students.

This month, students are learning about artist Frida Kahlo. They will all have an opportunity to paint their own rendition of "Me and My Parrots". This is done through our Great Artist Program which is funded by your generous donations to Mountainview PTA.

Almost 300 Mountainview mothers and daughters participated in their Winter Paint Night. Everyone walked away with an original canvas masterpiece!

Congratulations to our talented students who placed at Council level for Reflections. Carter Herson received Honorable Mention for Dance Choreography. Avery Nickson received Honorable Mention for Music Composition.... Kimberly Correa received Honorable Mention for Visual Arts.
