"I’ve been watching Tiger do amazing things since he was four and a half. I guess I’m not easily amazed anymore. Rudy Duran has known Tiger was special since the very beginning, so he wasn't surprised by his 2019 Masters win.

MORRO BAY GC IS OPEN! Dear Morro Bay Golf Course guests, The headlines and messages in our community can be a bit stressful at the moment. There is nothing more important to us than our customers and staff and we want you to know that we are here to help you deal with everything which is happening right now. The golf course is a perfect place to meet friends or come alone to forget all of your worries and escape life for a while.... The County is taking steps to protect our community and our golf courses are no different. There are no anticipated changes to our operations at this time and we will inform you of any updates (if any) as time rolls on. The Coronavirus has created a fluid situation where we are learning new things daily and may need to make adjustments as we learn. We take great pride in the general daily cleanliness of our facility. The current COVID-19 epidemic has inspired us to raise the hygiene bar a lot higher to help keep us healthy avid golfers. Staff will be implementing procedures to increase restroom cleanliness with a mid-day sanitation. Please accept our apology if this causes any inconvenience while staff tends to this task. Door fixtures/handles, counter tops, shop furniture, and rental clubs will receive additional attention throughout the day. Golf cars will be detailed with a sanitizing solution after each use to help remove germs from steering wheels, seat handles, and other areas of the car which receive frequent exposure to hands. Please help us to fight the potential exposure to germs, bacteria, and viruses by washing your hands frequently especially after going to the bathroom, sneezing, or covering (please) your mouth after coughing. Please limit close contact with other golfers and staff and bump elbows rather than shaking hands as a greeting or thank you at the end of your round. We also ask that you utilize the new putting with the "pin in" rule so that we can minimize hands touching the flag-sticks. Please be careful when removing your ball from the hole so not to cause any damage to the holes' edge and if you must remove the flag-stick, do so with the assistance of a towel around the flag-stick. Carrying some disinfectant with you would not be a bad idea either. Thanks for your attention to this matter. We will remain agile and make adjustments as we receive new information from the World Health Organization (WHO), Center for Disease Control (CDC), the State, other agencies, or our own County administrators. We will remain committed to helping you through this difficult time and also encourage you to continue to recreate by getting outside and enjoying the fresh air in our County. We greatly appreciate your support! Josh Heptig Golf Superintendent for SLO County Parks [email protected] (805) 781-1318
