So, yes, 4 hours is a large chunk of time on a Sunday - but how much time do you spend being annoyed by painful upper backs and necks? Lost sleep? Fuzzy concentration? This will teach you easy tricks to combat discomfort and pain - not to mention leaving you feeling great at the end of it! Early Bird pricing ends Saturday 11/10!

Two things of interest: after three weeks half the group experienced clinically significant reduction in back pain (although I would like to see what happens more long term, but fascinating!) and the longer people had to talk with their GP was associated with a reduction in back pain as well. It's fascinating to think about the biochemical responses to placebos - it's nice to see both this and doctor/patient time is being studied seriously.

This article exemplifies how easy it is to sit well! If you have a chair you can't prop yourself into to sit easefully (no matter how "ergonomic" your chair is, or what it cost) then don't use that chair! (or at the very least use it minimally and know how to stretch/move yourself out of it's negative effects) What's also great about this article is that it addresses driving posture and the deep faults of car seats (Toyota Prius' - I'm looking at you). It shows how to adapt y...our car posture. In addition to what she suggests, I also suggest propping - or what she calls "perching" - in the car, too. Most times it doesn't take you away from the head rest/protective qualities of your carseat, and it helps with hip to knee ratio, and finding better pelvic posture. Note: posture doesn't come from the shoulders or lower back, but from the pelvis and sitting on your sit bones. If you want to know more about easeful posture, stay tuned for details about my upcoming Head, Neck and Shoulders workshop November 18th. Details to be announced very soon! See more
