Criminals are always looking for opportunities, hints, and tools to commit crimes. Any other decals/stickers you can think of ?

A TIP FROM AN AC GUY... FYI friends and family, your AC has a hard time keeping up in these high temperatures, make sure your filters are clean. Also your conde...nser (outdoor unit) is really not designed for high heat like we have been having. It would help out if the condenser was shaded being careful to not block the air coming around the unit and especially not blocking the hot air that is being discharged off the top of the condenser. Another tip is to LIGHTLY hose down the coil fins around the condenser with a mister system or garden hose(keep away from getting the electrical parts of the unit wet). The outside temperatures effect the pressures in the system so cooling the air around the system can increase the cooling capacity in the unit. Keep in mind to have doors and windows closed and increase the indoor temperature set point to 78 degrees at bare minimum, remember 78 feels pretty good when it’s 105+ outside. AC removes heat from inside the house through the refrigerant in the system. It’s important to keep the condenser coils clean with a annual check and coil cleaning as this allows the dirt that coats the aluminum fins to be cleaned and able to dissipate the heat as designed. Feel free to reach out with any questions and stay cool and safe out there. Daniel Griswold Air Medic Owner

Dear Southland Regional Association of REALTORS, friends. A member of our SRAR family is in need of a kidney donor. Dawn Price Schwab (wife of our V.P. of Fina...nce, Rob Schwab) is in urgent need of a kidney transplant. Dawn developed kidney disease at the age of 21, and has battled it all her life with diet and exercise. Dawn has also been an active member of her community, including the creation of an adult softball league. (which she still actively participates in!) But now her kidneys are functioning at only 8%, and she urgently needs a donor. Please consider donating a kidney thru UCLA in her name. You can directly contact UCLA at 866-672-5333. Please spread the word and share with your friends and family. THANK YOU!

Why Teach Your Child #GunSafety? Even if no one in your family owns a gun, chances are that someone you know does. Your child could come in contact with a gun a...t a neighbor’s house or when playing with friends. Explain to your child that he or she should not touch a gun unless you are present and/or give your permission. If your child sees a gun, he or she should follow the following steps: *STOP *DON’T TOUCH *LEAVE THE AREA *TELL AN ADULT The initial steps of STOP and DON’T TOUCH are the most important. To counter the natural impulse to touch a gun, it is imperative that you impress these safety message steps on your child. If You Own a Gun... Owning a gun is a very personal decision. If you choose to own a gun, you have the responsibility to set a positive example for your child. 1. Keep your gun and ammunition securely stored where a child or any other unauthorized person cannot reach it. 2. Always follow the safe gun handling rules. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use. If you own a gun and do not know how to operate it, contact someone knowledgeable and have him or her teach you. An uneducated adult can be as dangerous as a curious child.

That's right! Sure, you can find a lot of houses on-line, or on the weekends by trolling Open Houses. You can also find them by driving around looking for FSBOs, or for houses that aren’t in the MLS. You can do all of that work yourself, and in the end, you will likely save your self a whole lot of . . .... Nothing. Nada. Zippo. Zilch. What? Not save money by doing work for myself instead of hiring someone else to do it for me?

#4 Santa Clarita, California Santa Clarita, California makes its debut on the list of Top 10 Safest Cities in the United States at #4. Santa Clarita did not make the list last year because its population was below 200,000, but according to the FBI’s estimate the city now exceeds that number. Located just north of Los Angeles, Santa Clarita is one of three California cities to make the list of America’s safest cities. It saw a significant decrease in violent crime last year, with its violent crime rate dropping by nearly 30 percent. http://lawstreetmedia.com/crime-america-2015-top-10-safest/
