If you've ever gone to a summer camp, you probably have great memories of fun activities, new friends, and exciting adventures. Kids who attend camp have more fond memories than those who spend the summer just sitting in front of the TV.

Don’t worry if your child enters kindergarten without reading, writing, and math skills. Children from socio-economic disadvantaged homes can benefit greatly from attending full day kindergarten programs. Most will be eligible to have two healthy meals while at school, as well as a one-on-one attention from their teachers.

Whether your child has been enrolled in a preschool program, or he or she has been at home with you, entering a school environment for the first time can take a lot out of them. If you notice your child falling asleep earlier in the evening or sleeping more soundly at night, this is natural.
