so, yeah, Mother's Day behind us, and we're far from winning -- there are those of us we feel a bit like messes who have messed up here. And You are stronger th...an our failures -- our parenting failures, our marriage failures, our relationship failures, our endless failures. And we find that maybe? What messes our life up most is the expectation of what our life is supposed to look like. Thank You for whispering that You'll take every single of one of our failures and hide them in the depth of Your wounds in the week ahead of us. We can count on it: *You are making good out of even the bad days.* And His good plans are bigger than any of our messes, our regrets, our bad mistakes. I know it all looks impossible up ahead -- but the truth is: "Only one thing is necessary." Luke 10:42 The only thing necessary today -- is to let everything else come after keeping company with Him. So if we’re being gut honest here? We don’t really want the cards or the flowers this weekend...or what gets wrapped up in shiny paper, or stuffed in a bag with... the wrinkled tissue paper. Could someone just maybe wrap up this? Because it's what every mother really wants anyway: "the most life-changing thing any woman can do for herself this Mother’s Day: What a Mother Actually Really Wants"
