Collective spaces are critical in surviving racial trauma and we need us all to survive. Nearly a year after the murder of George Floyd, the trial of Derek Chauvin marks another pivotal moment in time. If you are following the trial and finding yourself re-triggered, grappling with hard questions, emotional, angry, and less than hopeful, join us to talk about it. As part of our Black Lives Matter Circle series, we've added healing spaces for Black communities and allies. During these sessions, our licensed psychologists will facilitate intimate dialogue and offer strategies for coping. These sessions are open to the public. Sign up (for free) at modernhealth.com/blm
March 31st is International Transgender Day of Visibility. Today and everyday we celebrate the transgender community. We must also recognize that transgender and gender nonconforming people continue to face inequities, discrimination, and violence in a society that favors cisgender individuals. We stand with you in the fight for gender equity and trans justice. We are excited to announce our new Circle series, Transgender Stories: Celebrating Visibility & Uplifting Voices, led by Modern Health therapists, to celebrate and uplift transgender and gender nonconforming individuals around the world. This series includes dedicated spaces to support the transgender community and their loved ones, as well as sessions educating allies. All sessions are open to the public! Our heart and solidarity is with Breonna Taylor's family, and with everyone across the country devastated this week by the lack of justice in the grand jury outcome for Breonna's case. We are continuing to host Healing Circles for Black communities and allies and encourage anyone who is looking for extra support during this time to sign up. http://calendly.com/modern-health

Udemy is leading the way in 2020, recently creating a Covid Employee Benefits Package including Modern Health and Origin. Thanks Cara Brennan Allamano and Emily Staebell Duff for taking time to share their vendor review process. From Emily: "We were pushing people to our EAP, but we weren't confident in the kinds of services our employees would get from breadth or personalization. So we went out to market and evaluated different vendors. We were very thorough with our side-b...y-side comparisons. We had our requirements list and hard data in front of us, and at the end of the day, it was a no brainer to go with Modern Health and Origin. We're still within the one month time frame since we rolled out. We've gotten some feedback that's been truly heartwarming, just that people are already getting value from benefits that have been out there for one month." We recognize that Black men have been increasingly subjected to trauma and injustice, and don't always have access to mental health resources to process the impact of these factors on their lives. To provide a safe space for sharing, healing, and support, we are partnering with Dr. Jody Adewale to offer free Healing Circles for Black Men. If you self-identify as a Black male, we welcome you to register at: calendly.com/modern-health. Thank you Dr. Jody for your partnership and for hosting these sessions.
We are excited to extend our free Healing Circles for the Black community and its allies during July for BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month. These sessions are hosted in partnership with psychologists who specialize in racial stress, anxiety, and trauma. We welcome you to register here: calendly.com/modern-health. Healing Circles are designed to create a safe space to uplift those who feel impacted by current events around anti-Black racism, implicit bias, and White privilege. We'll be hosting separate sessions for those who self-identity as being of African ancestry and for those who are allies committed to anti-Black racism.
