Escuchando a las Mujeres, a project of the Women’s Ordination Conference, works to amplify and empower the voices of Latinx Catholics and mujerista theologians ...to advocate for greater equality and justice in the church and world. With strong roots in Latin America, and many partners in Colombia, we issue this statement in support of our collaborators and siblings in Christ: We stand in solidarity with the people of Colombia who are fighting for their human rights and dignity, now for more than three weeks. We call for accountability for the violence and human rights violations that have resulted in more than forty people killed, hundreds missing, and untold numbers of women sexually abused. This is not a new struggle, but it is a global struggle, and we must not turn on our backs on the people of Colombia at this moment. We urge faith and political leaders to advocate tirelessly for those most marginalized in society, as the Gospel compels us to do. https://www.womensordination.org//woc-stands-in-solidari/

Catholics around the world have their eyes on Germany as it works for change through its "Synodal Path," which is debating the issues of power, sexual morality, LGBT unions, priestly life and the role of women in the church.

This morning, as part of #VocationsAwareness Week, we released the video of our her-storic conversation between supporters of women's ordination and Cardinal Ca...rtone! As you'll see, he was a little....quiet. But just like in real life, even though the Cardinal refuses to talk to us, it doesn't mean we'll stop pushing for ordination justice. Check out the video if you could use a bit of a laugh right now, and please share! #CardboardCardinal #OrdainWomen #dontdiscernwithoutus #thinkingpriesthood https://www.youtube.com/watch

Looking for some community *and* an opportunity to work towards ordination justice from your keyboard this week? Our form swarm starts tomorrow! Feel free to fl...ood the inboxes of vocations directors on your own all day, but if you'd like some company while you draft (just like these 1920s typists!), we're gathering on Zoom at noon Eastern (Wednesday) and 7 PM Eastern (Thursday). It'll be a casual drop-in/drop-out environment. While we seek justice whenever we gather, we'll also be holding space in general to be in community with each other in an electoral reality that may very well still be in flux. Find links to register, form templates, and all the Vocations Awareness Week info you'll need at this link: https://www.womensordination.org//vocations-awareness-wee/
