Are you a tenant looking for a place to rent? 1st step to looking for a rent property! Here’s what you should do to get that rental that you desire. First and foremost when you see an ad read the ad completely, Make sure you know what the monthly rent is and the deposit. What’s the address of the property and the location of the neighborhood like? Make sure the home is going to fit your family and has the bedrooms and baths you will need. If you have pets it’s important to kn...ow upfront whether or not the landlord will except them or if there’s an additional deposit for them. Many units today also do not allow smoking of any type this will be important regardless if you are a smoker or non-smoker. Many people move into a rental thinking that they can rent one of the rooms out to help themselves out with the monthly rent. It is extremely important that you know upfront whether or not the landlord allows sub leasing. Most rental contracts do not allow Sub leasing of any type and this will be in violation of your rental agreement. Another important question to ask is whether or not you can keep a boat, Camper trailer or relational vehicles? Many landlords do not allow for mechanical work on vehicles. Swimming pools and trampolines are also a big issue when it comes to renting a place with a large yard most of the times they are not permitted in the lease agreement. Another great question to ask is are you going to be required to have renters insurance, it is inexpensive and well worth the money. Reading the Rental ad entirely should give you an idea on whether or not it is going to be a good fit for you or your family.
