Board of Directors Meeting 03-09-2021 Recap From GTA’s Board meeting Tuesday night: Our Board approved the 2021-22 student calendar which as always - is very similar to VCUSD’s calendar. The first day of school will be August 16 and the last day will be June 9. Our Superintendent discussed safety precautions and return-to-school options for hopefully returning partially in person on or after April 12th! Additionally, the Board received an update on our enrollment for the Fal...l and there are still several grades with open slots right now, that will be filled as new families continue to sign up, on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to let your friends & neighbors know there are open slots since the lottery took place. Last, the Board approved updates to our Bylaws, discussed our interim financial report and our 2019-20 audit. Welcome to Virtual Back to School Night! While we would prefer to see you all in person, the realities of 2020 are such that prevent us from hosting this event on campus. That said, we wish to structure the 6:00pm-8:00pm event in almost the same manner as we have done in the past. Event Schedule:... You will have 11 minutes to visit each class starting with Advisory/Leadership 1st period all the way through 8th period. There will be three minute passing periods allowing you to go from virtual classroom to classroom, along with a 10 minute break in the middle. Please see the schedule below. You can use your student's Chromebook, your personal device, or call-in. It is essential that you do your best to get into each classroom on time as the teachers will be letting folks in the first few minutes, but may not be able to let you in if you are running late.
