To mark the start of the #BlackHistoryMonth, we want to share the story of Jane C. Wright (1919-2013), a pioneering cancer researcher and surgeon noted for her contributions to #chemotherapy and #cancerresearch. She is known for developing tumor cell cultures and treating them with different drugs to predict which drugs may produce the most robust effect in the actual patient, a method that underlies the modern concept of #precisionmedicine. #WomenInSTEM

There's no stopping Mission Bio! Despite the pandemic we were able to close a Series C funding round to raise $70M USD. We're ready to scale up and put an end to #cancer with #singlecell technology. We heard emotional stories from our co-founders and celebrated with a virtual toast party which included guest speakers Ross Levine of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Adam Abate of UCSF, and Robert Ghenchev of Novo Holdings. A big thank you to the Mission Bio team for their hard work and diligence!

In their latest study published in @Blood, researchers from @VIB and @KU Leuven demonstrated the power of #singlecell analysis to improve treatment strategies and prognosis based on clonality and minimal residual disease (MRD). We’re honored to support these breakthroughs in #CancerResearch and care with our Tapestri Platform. For studies like this one, dedicated to the most common childhood #leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), we are especially passionate. https://bit.ly/3gqNAfR

At Mission Bio, we’re committed to helping cancer centers and biopharma companies eliminate #cancer. #Tapestri looks at each and every cancer cell to better understand how cancer evolves and responds to therapy. Today, we’ve announced $70M in our Series C to scale single-cell multi-omics for biomarker discovery and drug development, and expand into the gene and cell therapy space, with the goal of accelerating and improving patient outcomes.
