HPV is a sexually transmitted infection that can lead to 6 different types of cancer. It will infect 80% of us during our lifetimes and 14 million teens and adults are diagnosed with it each year. We take your sexual health and cancer risk seriously. For most of our patients we recommend a vaccine that can prevent HPV and the associated risks. Vaccines are available for people from ages 9 to 45, although getting one before becoming sexually active is best. Please let us know if you have any concerns about HPV or would like to see if a vaccine is right for you and/or your partner or child.
