Do you live in Milpitas? Do you own a business located in Milpitas? If you answered yes to one or both questions, please take a few minutes to fill out the COVID-19 Workforce Recovery Survey so the #CityofMilpitas can determine which trainings are most needed in the community. Be prepared for potential PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) Attention #MUSD Families and Team Members, We all must be prepared for the possibility of being impacted by PG&E’s Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS), which could begin as early as today and last until Wednesday, October 28 or later.... Emergency preparedness measures include: planning to use batteries and other power alternatives; having supplies handy such as flashlights with extra batteries for every household member and enough nonperishable food and water; and keeping cell phones and other electronics fully charged. For more helpful tips on preparing for a potential power shutoff, please follow this link: https://www.ready.gov/power-outages. If indeed the power is out and students are unable to attend their classes, they are asked to do their asynchronous (self-directed) work while their power is out and report to their teacher(s) at the first opportunity letting them know they were unable to get online. We ask that students charge their computers, WiFi hotspots, and cell phones ahead of time, so they can do work during the PSPS. To determine if your home will experience an outage, PG&E customers should monitor the PSPS page on the PG&E website and type in your address at: https://pgealerts.alerts.pge.com/updates/. Stay safe and be prepared. In community, Office of the Superintendent
