Today, April 18, marks the 113 anniversary of the 1906 "San Francisco" earthquake. Los Banos also experienced significant damage. We are excited about the upcoming Charles Sawyer 5th Annual Lecture Series where we’ll highlight the Pacheco Pass and its history. Who were the Pacheco Family? What were the initial routes for the stage lines and highways? What was the Ganzaga Ranch Adobe and what happened to it? Native Americans, Butterfield Stage Route, Bell Station, Mountain House, Lover’s Leap, Pacheco State Park? Come join us at 5:45, April 11 for a wine / Hor D’oeuvres Reception and photo exhibit, followed by presentations from David Milam and George Fohner, Pacheco Pass enthusiasts / historians.
