How do you know what’s in your trust fund? Funding a trust can feel difficult but it doesn’t need to be. It’s pretty easy. Just look at THE NAME on the asset, the account, etc. Is your name on that asset, or is it the trusts’ name that’s on there?... For example... The deed to your house -- if it has your name on it, then IT IS NOT in your trust and it’s not protected. All you need to do is change the name to the trust. It doesn’t change ownership, you still own the house. But now that your house is in the trust’s name, it is protected.
