We are happy to announce MGAC will re-open in October (date to follow soon) for lap swim. This is pending COVID cases remain at current levels and following LACDPH’s lead. Very excited to welcome you back to the pool deck, masks on. What to expect: There will be a health check at front gate when you enter. All swimmers will be required to book their lane online. If you have difficulties with this system, you can contact pool staff via phone and we will assist your reserv...ation process. More details to come in the following weeks! Stay safe and be well!

MGAC/Pool Re-Opening Possibility!* We’re pleased to announce recent progress towards a possible re-opening of the Maggie Gilbert Aquatic Center (MGAC) and Pool following our mandatory closure since Mid-March 2020 due to COVID-19. PCHS Administration has reviewed all aspects of the requirements from LAUSD and the MGAC Re-Opening plan and its compliance to CDC, OSHA, and LACDPH guidelines. When the process is complete with our submittal to LAUSD, MGAC will hopefully have the ...go-ahead for an initial soft re-opening with strict adherence to all applicable guidelines Please be patient with us as we work through this process. It will likely take several weeks to get everything in order and to make sure our Lifeguards are fully trained in all the new procedures. We will follow up with a timeline soon. You will find our procedures in line with other aquatic facilities in the Los Angeles area in that reservations will be required for lap swimming. We look forward to seeing our Aquatic Community on the deck at MGAC as soon as we have gone through all approvals and preparations. Please check our website at palihigh.org/palipool for updates. You may also sign up for our mailing list on the website as well for immediate notifications. *Re-opening is still needing to be approved by LAUSD and is subject to change based on the Los Angeles County Department of Public Heath orders.

MGAC wishes our Aquatic Family a Happy 4th!

Dear MGAC Swimmers, We want to update you on the current status at MGAC. We know the LA County Public Health Department recently released guidance for the re-opening of public pools, and we are aware of a number of July opening dates scheduled for pools in LA County.... In addition to the Authorization to Open from governmental authorities, MGAC also requires re-opening approval from our landlord LAUSD, the PCHS Administration, and possibly the PCHS Board of Trustees. We wish we had more information and a set date to share at this time. MGAC has submitted a re-opening plan to LAUSD and PCHS so that we will be ready to re-open when we get the approval to do so. On behalf of MGAC and PCHS, we truly look forward to seeing all of you again and getting you back in the water as soon as we can. Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend! Sincerely, MGAC Staff

Wonderful article in the Palisades-Post about our beloved Coach Maggie Nance! Last Saturday would have been State Finals for PCHS Swimmers. #BeALight PCHS lights were on last night at 20:20pm for 20 minutes in honor of PCHS Senior Class 2020.
