"Kindness multiplies and it enables possiblity. When we’re of service to people, we have the chance to make things better" said Seth Godin. Something to live by and a quick inspiring read to remind us that nothing "is just business". There are people depending on all of us to the kind thing.

For all you teacher's out there! You are most likely spending more than $250 in classroom expenses but at least its a start. In California you may be eligible to deduct use of your home office (non-deductible for Federal). If you have any questions dont be afraid to reach out. Today is a great day to call your CPA!
The #1 rule in creating financial security is to Pay yourself first. One of the easiest ways to do this as an employee is to make tax deferred contributions into your 401(k). In 2020, the IRS has increased the maximum annual contribution to $19,500. Contributing into your 401(k) today helps secure your tomorrow. Helpful hint- Over the last 15 years, I have increased my contribution percentage by 1-2% for every pay raise I received. Making a small increase in your contribution will not significantly affect your take home pay but it will have a significant impact on your account balance at retirement.
