TONIGHT! FREE "Port City" panel discussion and reception at the California Historical Society - 6 p.m. CHS is located at 678 Mission Street. Join moderator Jasper Rubin and panelists Robert Cherny, Michael Corbett, Jim Delgado, and Christopher VerPlanck for an insightful look at the rich history of San Francisco's port. A book signing and reception with light fare will follow the panel.

Tonight: Julia Morgan lecture at Pier 1 with Inge Schaefer Horton. Come learn about San Francisco's pioneering women architects. The lecture will be held in the Bayview conference room. Doors open at 5:30 and the lecture begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Heritage members and $12 for the general public.

Heritage Board Member Nancy Goldberg will discuss the technological and architectural history of the shipyard. Mark Paez and David Beaupre from the Port of San Francisco will discuss Pier 70’s future, explaining the current master planning process and development goals for the site. Tickets are $8-12.
