Mustangs kicked off our Kindness Spirit Week yesterday by showing kindness to others in colorful ways!
We are proud to be an Apple Distinguished School! Our one-to-one iPad schoolwide program allows our students and teachers to deeply integrate digital resources into our curriculum to create new opportunities for learning. Through apps and programs such as Keynote, Seesaw, Lightbot Code Hour, Bloxels, Flipgrid and more, our students are constantly engaged in innovative learning that's connected, collaborative, creative, and personal!
Online Academy third graders visited the Midwest Archeological Center! Led by archeologists, students virtually "uncovered" the mystery of several famous archeological sites and learned how archeologists locate and define such sites, all while exploring concepts of excavation!
Attn current families: Please check your email invitation for additional information on our next speaker series, Understanding Your Tween. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this informative event!
Mustangs are excited about earning their 21-22 pilot wings in our lobby! After registering, students also received enrollment swag bags from baggage claim and were able to show off their new enrollment t-shirts for our Friday Spirit Day! The Sky is the Limit at Merryhill Midtown!
In connection with their social studies theme of patriotism, Kindergarten students read the book Duck for President and placed their vote for Duck or Farmer Brown. Students learned about what it means to have an election and what a vote is!
Hope to see you at our Open House on Saturday, November 7th. Please contact our admissions team at 855-722-8938 to set up an appointment.
Seventh and eighth grade students participated in a Halloween Language Arts lesson on Friday by making connections between fictional characters from different universes! Students then created illustrations and explanations identifying the journey or characteristics the different characters share.
This week, eighth graders analyzed and interpreted typical signs of a chemical reaction (color change, temperature change, gas production, precipitate formation) to understand how atoms are rearranged to form new substances!
Students in first grade are writing friendly letters to their peers in the opposite cohort to create classroom connections and practice their letter writing skills!
Attn: Current families with children in kindergarten and older, please check your email invitation for additional information. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this informative event!
Third grade students acted as detectives while drawing conclusions from mystery passages. They noted a variety of clues to help solve each case!
We're excited to be virtually back at school! Here's a look at how we're starting off our year.
Eighth grade students participated in a Future Falcon Live Chat with some of our alumni who attend Christian Brothers High School! Students enjoyed asking questions and hearing more about CBHS from a student perspective. Be sure to pick up your CB swag bag outside the front office this week!
Second graders use open-ended math prompts in their math journals, which act as a naturally differentiated assessment allowing students to access the mathematical concepts from their own level of understanding. Students use pictures, numbers, and words to share their ideas!
In connection with their book of the week, Lily’s Purple Plastic Purse, Kindergarten students completed a sentence study focused on capital letters, nouns, spaces and correct punctuation!
Attn: Current families with children in kindergarten and younger, please check your email invitation for additional information. We hope you’ll be able to join us for this informative event!
Fifth graders concluded their novel study of The Watsons Go to Birmingham by creating Keynotes or videos focusing on the theme of fairness and justice as well as analyzing characters. Students shared their projects with peers in breakout rooms!
