Our upcoming virtual event, THE LONG INTERMISSION. will be peppered with some very special cameo appearances by longtime supporters and friends, including a special appearance by Tony award-winning actor, comedian, and clown Bill Irwin. Bill’s parents, Horace and Liz Irwin were long time residents of the coast and important in the fledgling stages of the company. Horace, or Ace as his friends called him, was a brilliant set designer who put in place some of the standards for design and construction that we still use today. Do plan to join us on YouTube LIVE, November 21st at 7:30 PM, for THE LONG INTERMISSION! The event is free...details on our website. #thelongintermission #mendocinotheatrecompany #event #theatreinquarantine #billirwin #setdesign #cameo #mendocinocoast #theater #theatrelife
AMERICAN GOTHIC - https://mailchi.mp/mcn/readingseries-americangothic-poe
Locally-produced SnapSessions! presents Episode 26Election 2020, Voices of Mendocino. Worth a listen!
In the spirit of the day, we offer you the gift of this macabre Zoom experiment...a dramatization of Edgar Allan Poe's THE CASK OF AMONTILLADO. We hope it brings a shiver of horror to your Halloween... Many thanks to Lynn Sotos (director), Mark W. Jordan (narrator; writer), Daniel Brewer (Montressor), Steven P. Worthen (Fortunato), and the anonymous local videographer who edited this little experiment of ours. The play was recorded remotely via Zoom. Be sure to catch the audio version of this play on KZYX this Thursday, November 5th, at 7:00 PM. It's part of an hour-long radio reading called AMERICAN GOTHIC. Find out more at mendocinotheatre.org!

Have you cast your ballot?
She claims to be the "Oldest Living Member" of the Mendocino Theatre Company. Certainly, she is one of the most talented. Still as beautiful as she was 43 years ago when she played George Bernard Shaw's CANDIDA on our stage, MTC's grand dame, Sandra Hawthorne, will invite us into her home (virtually, of course) to reminisce about the early days of the company during THE LONG INTERMISSION. Mark your calendar for Saturday, November 21st at 7:30 PM for THE LONG INTERMISSION, a virtual celebration of MTC's past, present, and future. You don't want to miss this!
