*****GUERO UPDATE***** Guero had his dental today. He had 22 extractions. Yikes! Poor little fellow. Guero is unfortunate to have serious dental disease despite having his yearly check ups. Thank you to everyone who made Guero’s care possible. He was feeling pretty loopy on the way home but once he heals he will be in much better health.

Please share this post to help Guero. Hey Everyone, We have been asked to help a local family in need. Their beloved dog Guero is in desperate need of a dental. Guero is in pain and needs to have several teeth extracted. ... Unfortunately due to current state of the world the pet owners were unable to cover the estimated cost of the procedure at their regular vet office. Once we learned Guero's mom was beside herself and desperate to help her precious baby, we connected her with one of our trusted vets. Our vet was able to bring the quote for the procedure down several hundred dollars. The new estimate is between $603.00-$653.00. (A copy of the estimate is in the photos of this post. ) We have secured a commitment for $100.00 from one of our rescue partners and we would like to raise another $500.00 to help ease Guero's family hardship with such a large expense. Please consider a donation toward Guero's much needed dental procedure. Every little bit helps. Mending Fences will collect donations for Guero procedure and will make the payment directly to the vet office. All contributions will be provided with a tax deductible receipt via email. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas . Coco and Chanel spent Christmas with their new Mom adopted earlier this month.

Coco and Chanel were with Mending Fences when they were puppies three years ago. Unfortunately their mom passed away unexpectedly and with no family to take them, they found their way back to us. Coco and Chanel are a bonded pair and will only be adopted together. They're 4 years old now and ready for their forever home. These cuties are getting spayed and neutered on Saturday. They will be ready to go to there new home on Monday. There are 3 boys and two girls. They are about 9 weeks old. Inquiries can be made at [email protected].

We are very happy to announce Mortisha now Lambie has finally made it to her new home outside of Chicago, Il. If you recall at the start of the pandemic she had an approved adopter but due to the shut down Lambie waited six months to make her journey to her new Mom. Lambie’s Mom is now a two time adopter from us so we knew our girl was going to a great home. Lambie flew in the company of Bev who volunteers on her days off to fly rescued and service animals around the country. Bev is a superhero for all those she helps. Lambie is now a princesses.

Sweet Rudy has been adopted and has a pointer sister to play with. This was a bittersweet adoption since Rudy had been with his foster mom over 2 years. But also shows our dedication to our pets and finding them the right home.

*****Rescued***** We have a kitten extravaganza! These 4 were born to a feral Mom. We had mom fixed and sent her back home where she is safe. Now it’s time to find theses cuties a home. Inquiries may be made at [email protected].

It was a very busy rescue day. One might say when it rains it pours. I had two spays and one neuter scheduled so I transported the lucky three to the vet clinic. When I arrived I was greeted by 4 little feral kittens. So when I went back to pick up the surgery kitties I brought some, crates, traps and my welding gloves. I managed to get two of the rascals by digging them out of a fountain on my hands and knees. The other two escaped but I will try again. It was a good thing I brought the kitten welding gloves because that little brown one kept biting me over and over. And then there is Babs the tiny pup. She was owner surrendered and will be going to a rescue partner in the pacific north west on Friday. In the mean time we have her set for a check up and vaccines tomorrow.

*****Pending Adoption***** I would like to introduce Bo the magnificent kitten. Bo was born to a feral Mom. Mom is now spay and Bo is getting neutered tomorrow. This means he will be up for adoption in a few days. Bo is short for bovine as his spots resemble a cow. Bo is a friendly and playful guy. He is sure to make a wonderful pet.
